Stewart is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in co-occurring disorders with a decade of experience in substance use treatment. Raised in the Virgin Islands, Stewart moved to the US to pursue education on the East Coast and has lived in New York City, Tampa Bay, and Vail, Colorado before moving to California. Leaving behind a career in Operations Management, he pursued in-depth Buddhist and Mindfulness Meditation studies, becoming a Certified Mindfulness Meditation Teacher and a Buddhist Meditation Facilitator. He completed his master’s degree in counseling psychology and has been providing relational counseling and therapy to families and individuals in the Bay Area in a variety of arenas from community mental health to executive treatment before entering private practice. He approaches therapy from an East/West synthesis, focusing on evidence-based practices in combination with spiritual approaches to wellness.
