Detox in California

Detox is the first step in the addiction treatment process. It is vital to the health and safety of the client as they begin their first days building their sober foundation and go through the dangerous withdrawal process associated with early sobriety.

Substances Requiring Detox

While the detoxification process is not life-threatening for all substances, alcohol, opioid, and benzodiazepine withdrawal can cause deadly complications. Regardless of the substance of abuse, detoxing is often a necessary and required part of the recovery journey and will help clients get started on the right foot as they start to navigate this new life.

Luxury Detox in California

If you are looking for a private, upscale residential detox, California’s Reflections has an inpatient detox facility with six private rooms in Marin County (near San Francisco in Northern California). It is important to find a program which will treat you and your loved one with proper attention and care.

At our medical detox in the Bay Area we work with a maximum of six clients at a time allowing our Ph.D. clinicians to craft tailored detoxification protocols, staff provides 24/7 monitoring. These above standard care solutions ensure you can rest easy knowing you or your loved one will be taken care of with the attention they deserve.

Inpatient Drug Rehab
in Northern California

If you’re looking for an inpatient California drug rehab, Reflections is a beautiful addiction treatment facility near the Bay Area and can help you with every step of the recovery process. Following detox, clients looking for help overcoming alcohol or drug addiction can live in this residential facility for a short- or long-term stay depending on their needs.

Typically, clients go to inpatient California rehabs for a 30-60 day stay before discharging, at which point they may step down to lower levels of care. Reflections stands apart as it offers a whole-person approach and provides individual treatment plans to tackle addiction at the source.

Each client receives:

Personalized Treatment Plan

At Reflections, we understand how important it is to find a treatment program to cater to your specific needs. Our clients undergo a medical history and physical screening upon admission, including a biopsychosocial assessment. From there, our Ph.D. and masters-level clinician team craft a highly individualized treatment plan which can include:

  • Group therapy
  • Daily individual therapy sessions
  • Dual diagnosis treatment
  • Medication-assisted treatment
  • Family therapy
  • Yoga treatment
  • Anger management
  • Art therapy
  • Adventure therapy
  • Relapse prevention
  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • and much more.

Luxurious Amenities

We know how important it is for all of our clients to not only feel safe during their stay but actively enjoy their time. Being in a location that has great weather, fun activities, and amazing amenities will not only make your stay easier but will help improve treatment retention and therefore improve treatment success. At Reflections, our California inpatient rehab offers a number of five-star amenities including:

  • Private bedrooms
  • Access to electronics (for family and work)
  • Executive chefs
  • Fitness center
  • Pool and spa
  • Massages
  • Yoga and meditation
  • and more

These are all included in addition to the gorgeous 2-acre gated estate clients will stay at in Northern California.

Expert Addiction Treatment Providers

At our drug rehab, California’s Reflections can care for up to 6 clients at a time. To ensure each client gets the care and attention they deserve we’ve staffed our facility with 12 addiction experts including: Ph.D. clinical psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFTs), and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselors (CAADCs). This 2:1 staff-to-client ratio doesn’t account for the many adjunctive therapists we use for things like music, art, and equine therapies.

“The opioid crisis has touched every part of California. As we mourn the many lives lost, California is working harder than ever to fight this crisis and protect people.”

- Gov. Gavin Newsom, 2022

Other Levels of Care at
our Rehab in California

While detox and residential rehab are the first two steps in addiction recovery and the most intensive forms of treatment, they are not the only steps. Following a stay at our inpatient California rehab, our team at Reflections can set you up with the next levels of care in the recovery process, including both intensive outpatient treatment and a sober living home.

Intensive Outpatient Program California

A majority of relapses occur in the first few months after leaving treatment, in fact, the Department of Veterans Affairs cites approximately half of all alcohol-dependent clients relapse within just 3 months of detoxification.

Our overall goal at Reflections is to see each and every client achieve long-term sobriety, and we know ongoing support is one of the keys to this long-term success.

Following our detox and inpatient treatment, the client can step down to Reflections’ intensive outpatient program (IOP). California IOP at Reflections offers two therapy sessions per week to our clients and additional day treatment from our clinical team. All programs can be further adjusted to fit individual clients’ needs.

Sober Living & California Aftercare

One of the more underrated aspects of addiction treatment is the community bonds which can be built during initial treatment. These relationships go a long way towards improving day-to-day life, helping curb relapse rates, and establishing a support network. At Reflections, we recognize the need for continued support even after treatment ends. Similarly, we know it can be hard to adjust to post-rehab life, which is why our treatment programming includes access to our sober living homes in California.

While California sober living is not necessary for every client, it can be the difference between relapse and long-term success.

Additionally, our California sober living home is MAT-friendly meaning any client using medications, like Vivitrol, can get the assistance they need. We also have ongoing support groups and alumni options to ensure clients can build a strong foundation.

Drug Rehab California

According to California drug use data, psychostimulant overdose deaths, opioid overdose deaths, and overall drug poisoning deaths have all seen increases over the past two decades. At our luxury rehab in California, we treat all manner of addictions and our clients can get help for whatever substance they are struggling with including methamphetamine, opioids, benzos, cocaine, heroin, and more.

Opioid Crisis in California

While new data from the California Health Care Foundation does show opioid prescriptions and pain medication drug use have been dropping in recent years, the number of opioid overdoses and non-emergency opioid emergency department visits have still risen sharply in the past few years.

In 2019, more than 3,200 Californians died of an opioid overdoses, with fentanyl being a primary culprit. Counties in the Northern California region, including Lake County and San Francisco had some of the highest rates of opioid deaths in the state. Our drug rehab centers in California can help all those who are struggling with opioid addiction in the Northern CA region and beyond.

“Alcohol use disorder was more prevalent than other types of substance use disorders. 6% of Californians reported meeting the criteria for dependence on alcohol, compared to 3% for illicit drugs”

- California Health Care Foundation
(2018 Substance Abuse in California Executive Summary)

Alcohol Rehab California

Despite the fact that alcohol remains one of the most common substances of abuse, only 4 in 10 substance abuse treatment clients in California received treatment for alcohol abuse. The legality and social acceptability of alcohol can lead many to think a problem doesn't exist when, in reality, alcohol addiction is more common than drug addiction both in the state and nationwide.

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates more than 140,000 people die from excessive alcohol use each year. Despite this number and the high rates of alcohol abuse and binge drinking, less than 10% receive any treatment for their alcoholism.

At Reflections, our alcohol rehab in California has the tools and expertise in place to help all those who are struggling with alcohol addiction. And can help you with all levels of care all the way from detoxification to inpatient and outpatient rehab to a sober living and alumni community.

Underage Drinking in California

Data from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) shows in 2021 there were 367 alcohol-related deaths of Californians under the age of 21. Moreover, the study found the average age of first use of alcohol is just over 16 years old, right after Californians can get their driver’s license. Drinking at a young age can potentially mean they are self-medicating prior trauma and may need treatment should it turn into an addiction.

How Much Does Rehab Cost in California?

The cost of rehab in California can vary greatly depending on many factors including the levels of care a client requires, length of stay, and type of facility.

While treatment can seem pricey to some, there are measures in place to help make treatment more affordable.

Using Insurance to Pay for California Rehabs

Reflections works directly with your insurance to help make the treatment process as affordable as possible for all clients. Our admissions team will work with you to help you understand the benefits provided by your employer plan. We often work with:

The Best California Rehab

Reflections isn’t your ordinary California addiction treatment program. At Reflections, we pride ourselves on our work and always strive to achieve our goal of being one of the best rehabs in California.

To do this, we look at all aspects of our treatment including location, facility, staff, and offerings, to ensure all of these components align to meet this goal. Our services are offered throughout northern California in San Francisco, San Jose, Palo Alto, Pleasanton, Napa County, and Marin County.

Our Luxury Rehab - California

The treatment clients receive is vital for their success, but where they receive it can be just as important. If a client doesn’t feel comfortable or safe during their stay at a residential detox or inpatient facility, it can make them nervous about treatment, not take it seriously, or even end their treatment services too early, leading to higher chances of relapse.

Our luxury rehab & California addiction treatment program at Reflections offers clients not only an amazing curriculum, but also a gorgeous facility, spacious and private rooms, and electronics access. Our addiction rehab California also includes a number of amenities including massages, meditation, private family sessions, and more to make our client’s time in treatment as enjoyable and easy as possible.

Our luxury rehab centers in California can help you with nearly every level of care in the addiction treatment process, call today to learn more and tour our facilities.

Holistic Rehab California

While dual diagnosis, MAT, and other evidence-based care modalities, are vital for a client’s treatment programming, other holistic and experiential addiction recovery methods can prove to be as effective as complementary treatments.

Some of the more holistic addiction treatment options available at our California rehabilitation center include yoga therapy, art and music therapy, equine therapy, and more.

Dual Diagnosis Treatment Center in California

If you’re looking for rehab centers, California has a long list of options, however, not all are built the same. According to a 2019 National Survey of Substance Abuse Treatment Services, only 62% of addiction treatment facilities in California offer mental health services. At Reflections, we know mental health can be an underlying condition that can impact, or even cause, substance abuse in the first place.

To manage this, the intake evaluations at our dual diagnosis California treatment center look for any overlapping mental health conditions and during treatment, our clients work through these problems while simultaneously being treated for drug and alcohol addiction. This way we ensure both problems are taken care of simultaneously, which helps improve client well-being, reduce relapse rates, and set our clients up for long-term success.
